Kindergarten worldwide

So my dears, now I have something to report again. And that is about Suzhou Singapore International School. A school network from 2 years old to high school. I have no idea how many children there are in total, but they have a school bus manager who coordinates the 48 (!!!!!) buses that pick up the children all over Suzhou in the morning, must be doing a good job. We will find out on Friday when Philipp will be picked up. That's our first day there. All children wear school uniforms, photos will follow. And I will add to that from the school day. What is already impressive is how nice people are here! In general, people here are very friendly and helpful. THE means of communication here is WeChat, a comparable app to WhatsApp. After only 1 hour at the new school, I have two new contacts who asked me very nicely if we are doing well and if we need any help. And when I came from Ikea with the children and had way too many things, a completely stranger Chinese woman carried two bags for me all the way to our high-rise building, just like that.

Back to kindergarten. Philipp will start going there next week. He will be able to play freely until 10 a.m., then there will be a snack and afterwards there will be sports, music or art. Currently swimming twice a week. Then lunch, an hour of rest or nap, and then they still play outside. Sounds good to me. English is spoken. From August, we have to decide whether he learns a little bit of Chinese every day or whether he goes to German lessons for the same amount of time, we will see.
