Dogs and cats

منتشر شده: 07.11.2018

The sound of clinking coffee cups echoing through the paper-thin walls of our 'luxury room' wakes us up rudely. The bed and the duvet were true luxury, but the thin walls are unacceptable. It feels like the fellow guests are standing right next to our bed. Looking out the window doesn't make things any better. It's raining cats and dogs. The weather app had already predicted it, but it rarely gets it right, why today of all days?

Yesterday, we had planned to go stand-up paddleboarding, but today, with the rain, I didn't feel like it anymore. You're probably going to say, 'it doesn't matter, after falling into the water for the first time, you're already wet.' Yes, that's true, but the drops hurt your face as you glide swiftly across the water. And besides, the fresh wind feels so cold.

So I think it's acceptable to spend a day in bed, with such terrible weather. Unfortunately, my darling doesn't agree. He actually wanted to 'relax, enjoy the day.' Before our departure, he was afraid that we wouldn't have time for that. Today would be the perfect time, today when everything is gray, we could at least make the most of the expensive room. But no, that's too boring. So, we grab our umbrellas and head to the nearby Aborigines Center.

Closed - what luck. And now? We still have laundry to do at the laundromat, it has to be done. And Carsten wanted to go to the hairdresser. Afterwards, we'll reward ourselves with a delicious muffin and coffee. While having coffee, Carsten decided to go stand-up paddleboarding after all. Unfortunately, he didn't take the local board rental into account. They close at 4:30 PM and it was 3:15 PM. What a shame, it would have been so much fun.

And finally......get in bed, watch TV, write a blog, sleep, and do whatever else you do in lousy weather. We just have to briefly leave the bed for meals and to get sand from the beach. But Schahaatz has to go out alone.
