Actually, we turned on the heater in the morning because it was very cold again. We started in the rain at 13°C. The planned round trip to the Triple Falls literally fell into the water again, not only that, it was also very foggy. We continued to the Great Otway National Park, a densely forested rainforest in the hinterland. Suddenly, there was a cow in the middle of the road, Micha was able to stop the camper with a full brake just in time. It looked at us from a distance of 2 m and then walked leisurely. Phew, we really didn't need a cow on the hood. Our destination was the wonderfully situated Cape Otway Lighthouse from 1848. The fog improved, but it drizzled occasionally, nevertheless it was a beautiful path and a great view from the lighthouse (even without blue sky and sunshine). A little further in the hinterland we walked the Mait's Rest Rainforest Walk, a circular route through the magnificent rainforest vegetation with very old, moss-covered big trees and many fern trees - the scents, the bird calls, the nature - wonderful.
Back on the coast we found a place to stay at Kennett River by the sea, it's a great place with lots of animals. The first time with wild koalas. We actually see three of them in the trees. Many small colorful parrots fly onto your hand if you have some food, or not! It's very busy here, all the places are full, right on the surf beach and all Australians are on their feet. But like everywhere else on the campsites, there's silence at 10 p.m. No WiFi again to upload photos, too bad, good night.
