8:30 a.m. We slept for a long time today, but Lisa also had a nightmare about an evil priest in a church and everyone who whispered had to go swimming and then he turned on a waterfall so that everyone would drown.
Maybe it was the mussels, but we all survived.
In the harbor, the same spectacle as every day: the fishing boat "Gabbiano" comes in and artfully maneuvers with a U-turn to its berth.
And the next constant in the harbor game is the daily departure of the tourist excursion boat at 10:30.
Today it is cloudy and so we have to look for a replacement for the 1st program: Ella is in favor of her own 1st program (playground) and Lisa still wants to go to the beach and into the sea.
We sit on the balcony, finish the Prosecco at 12 and ponder the possibilities for spending the day and afternoon as well as the culinary requirements. Meanwhile, Lisa and Ella play Ludo, put on a show and listen to CDs.
Christian continues his "chassis technology" course from previous years: "...R4...torsion bar suspension...manually pre-adjustable at the rear...revolutionary concept, as it can be adapted to different loading conditions!..."
Italian traffic is always remarkable and sensational. Everything moves, everything fits together, the motto is "live and let live". Today we are concentrating on observing the automotive situation here in the S-bend at the port of Grado. After all, we are sitting in the first row, Monte Carlo-style, with no legs. The convertibles are mostly closed (wimps), the scooters cut the corners on the inside (youngsters) and there is even a Lupo among the huge number of SUVs.
We are forced to make a pilgrimage through the city, on the one hand to raid a playground and on the other hand to buy the necessary ingredients for the dinner we have not yet thought through.
So it happens that gelati is bought a few times and spaghetti con ragu is served in the evening.
Lisa gets her new book "When Findus came to Petterson" and both children listen attentively. Before we go to bed we read another book and both fall asleep. At 10 I wake up again and Bettina is in bed and Christian is sleeping in front of the TV.
So I'm still writing these lines, regretting that tomorrow is already Friday, and going to bed completely full.
