We drove yesterday from Pieatra Neamt to Rasnov via great mountain passes. The view was fantastic. We took a break at Lacul Rosu, also known as the Lake of Killers. The place was predominantly populated by Hungarians. School groups and tourists with mostly Hungarian license plates. The entire region from Niklasmarkt to Szeklerburg, and just before Brasov, was bilingual, Romanian and Hungarian. The majority of the 2 million Hungarians in Romania live here. The cityscape was distinctly European and the houses well-maintained. Unfortunately, people here also drove more courteously, so despite my Romanian driving style, I was noticeably slower on the road. In Rasnov, we are staying in a nice apartment with a view of the fortress.
We passed by Capartcement in the middle of nowhere, a partner of HeidelbergCement. Feelings of home ;)
