Content ... what is the content of traveling ... definitely more breaks ... more breaks in such beautiful places like the coast in front of Ningaloo Reef or in Shark Bay and its reef.
NatureGirl and NatureBoy are continuing their journey, enjoying the sun on their bellies and backs, snorkeling a lot on their backs, yes, and cotton shirts are not adequate sun protection. Who would have thought. Nevertheless, we have managed not to burn or peel so far.
Instead, we have hopped over blowholes, narrowly escaping death, where it sucks and blows like crazy, and once in the underground caves on the coast, there is no way out. You will probably be crushed anyway.
We have crossed 100km of soft deep sand with tires at 1.3 bar, feeling like we swam more with the car, and explored wonderful and secluded beaches and reefs at Ningaloo Reef. We have seen dugongs, 15-20 small and large manta rays, many stingrays, turtles, and snorkeled with them. We have observed dolphins hunting in the bay and observed sharks from above and in the water, but only 1-2 meter lemon sharks and young bull sharks.
On land, we have chased kangaroos and the thorny devil ... an animal that reflects Wendo's soul if you remove the 'T'.
'You are lying on a white kilometer-long beach made entirely of 1cm-sized white glowing shells, the sun is shining, it's 40 degrees Celsius, and the water shimmers in bright and luminous turquoise. You can see old but still sail-worthy boats and turtles mating and look with all the birds in one direction ... towards sunset.' -- by Son while drinking the best wine we have had here so far ... a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand Lobster Reef.
It's beautiful ... pleasantly warm, wonderfully calm and secluded ... we are enjoying the last days on the west coast before soon heading to the hormone-charged backpacker's east coast.
