10.07.2019: Back to the sea to Qingdao

The day mainly involved bus rides for us. The route took us to Qingdao, another million city that was almost built out of nowhere. The highlight of the trip was certainly crossing the second longest bridge in the world, spanning approximately 32 km over the sea.

In the evening, there was a reception at the hotel (Le Meridien) hosted by the director of the city's tourism office. As the city boasts the largest beer festival in the world (bigger than the Oktoberfest!), a visit to the local beer street at night was a must. The somewhat famous Tsingtao beer has only 2.7% alcohol content, so there was no immediate danger of getting drunk too quickly.
