Day 5 - From Rüthen to Essentho

Today was the day with the longest planned stage, it ended up being more than 40 km thanks to a few detours. The main sight was mostly the forest. Unfortunately, there are no shopping opportunities in Essentho, but at least the hotel owner made me vegetable soup and cheese toast, and there will be breakfast tomorrow. I still have some supplies left.
Addendum: The best experience today was when, in the middle of the forest, after hours of hiking without any people, a van loaded with children passed by, presumably celebrating a birthday.

Über 40 Kilometer – Respekt! Gut, dass das Wetter jetzt mitspielt! Und dass du eine so nette Wirtin gefunden hast! Stundenlanges Wandern ohne menschliche Begegnung – ist das eher schön (weil ruhig) oder eher weniger schön (weil einsam)? Ich denke, dass du Ähnliches noch häufiger haben wirst.
