Hello,
The alarm clock rang this morning at 7:50 am, because at 8:30 am Mareike and I drove with Philipp and Manu to Lahaina to the harbor.
There, our two-hour whale watching tour started promptly at 9:45 am. 🤩🐳 We were able to observe incredibly many whales from a distance, but also from about 20 meters. We saw how the animals jumped, swam, splashed and sprayed water, a truly beautiful experience! 🤩 We also saw a dolphin, which visibly felt more comfortable with the whales than with its fellow species. 😊🐬
Afterwards, the four of us went to Subway to have lunch. 🥪
Then we stopped at the beach so that Mareike and I could go swimming. The boys stayed outside, it was too cold for them 😅. In the meantime, they took care of their flights, which are in jeopardy due to the Coronavirus.
Then we drove back to the hostel, unfortunately it started raining heavily (rainy season in Hawaii). We just chilled there and talked on the phone with Lucy, who is currently at a surf camp on the North Shore of Oahu. 🙈
Later we went shopping again, the boys needed bread, we needed noodles. By the way, the stores here already look like in Germany, no canned food, no pasta, no toilet paper anymore! 😳
Then we drove back to the hostel and played cards. In the evening we cooked dinner and ended the evening by playing cards. 😊
Best regards from Maui, Hawaii! 🌺🇺🇲
Yours, Jojo!💫
