Still in Las Vegas
After our plane was scheduled to take off yesterday with a 2-hour delay, there's suddenly a full brake. We have to hold onto the seat in front of us.
I was so scared. The pilot says there's a problem with the landing gear. Thankfully, he noticed it before takeoff. It wouldn't have been so funny during landing.
We have to wait for the approval of the fire department and then we will be taken back to the airport. Nobody knows anything for 2 hours.
The crew is totally clueless.
As always with Eurowings, there's no information policy.
Unfortunately, we can't use food vouchers since the stores are already closed.
At some point, they inform us that we will be taken to a hotel by taxis. The South Point Hotel. So we queue for taxis, then queue at the hotel reception. We get a decent room with a view of a wall. We also get food vouchers. However, we can only use them for food. But we're thirsty 🤔 Bottled water costs nearly 3 dollars. It's a challenge to reach Eurowings by phone and they can't really help either.
On my email inquiry, I receive a response that my inquiry will be processed within 6 weeks.🙈
At some point, we receive the information that our plane will go to Munich on Monday afternoon and we will be in Cologne on Tuesday afternoon. We'll see if that works out.
But there's no point, it's clearly too far to swim🙈
So we try to enjoy today as much as possible and hope that the plane will work tomorrow.
