Saturday morning: it was time to say goodbye. We performed the ritual quickly and painlessly. We still have our trilingual WhatsApp group 😂
I was bid farewell with: 'oh no, who will cook now, who will open the beer and wine at the beach?' I forgot to mention, I was crowned the bottle opener. The strong guys couldn't open their beer at the beach, but I am a master at opening beer by the harbor. It's a mystery why no one could open the wine, we always had the right tools with us. 🔨🗡🪓 I'm very good at practical things, my shortcomings lie elsewhere, but no problem, I'll survive with my qualities at least.
I traveled from Cassis to Marseille with Anja from Berlin, she stayed there, and I continued on to Sète. We took a selfie on the train for our trilingual WhatsApp group.
Arriving in Sète, ta-da, I immediately went in the right direction 😊. The hostel is no comparison to Cassis, it's very nice but also very big and therefore a bit more anonymous. But no problem, a little rest from the leisure stress is also good.
Well, not really, at 8:30 pm, I went out with 2 girls to end the evening. That's when I got the full dose of French and afterwards I fell into my bed completely exhausted.
Sunday was laundry day, and to my delight there is a laundromat here. No more washing by the river (ok, it was the sink, but the result is similar). Some clothes really needed it, you could almost put them in place. Yes, even when it comes to clothes, you become more relaxed, after a certain time the smell test is introduced (sniffing and determining if it's still wearable).
But there's nothing like freshly laundered clothes 🥰. Overjoyed, with my nose in the fresh laundry, I returned to the hostel, did a quick check of the area, and that had to suffice for Sunday.
Fresh laundry smells soooo good 🌸
