5. Dream tour day

Today by bus U 06 to Montecatini Alto - high up. The bus driver has plenty of time to chat and leaves ten minutes later. However, he tries to make up for it, giving his all on the winding uphill route 😳🤷‍♀️But I arrived safely. One way costs 1.50 euros and thrill is free.

An absolutely charming village welcomes me, actually just a piazza with restaurants and ancient houses all around. A little church where it's so quiet you can hear the silence, a ruined castle, winding uphill and downhill streets. I completely unwind, sit on a bench in the sun overlooking the valley and - just be there, nothing else, that's enough for the long moment of tranquility. In my heart, I take it with me to the valley. 😊 and hopefully also back home.

Later, I have a little something to eat on the piazza, quite nice, also very tasty tagliatelle, but the prices are due to the special location. You don't do that every day.

And then I bravely unpacked my walking stick and walked down the path a piedi (on foot). 1.5 hours, nature, flowers, olive trees, me. One of my dream tours that I had picked out - just as I wished. Also easy to walk for untrained people, at least downhill. 😏

In the village, I went to the next trattoria and treated myself to a spritz for the successful day. And to top it off, I got a sunburn but I gladly accept it for the wonderful day.
