Tag 75 - Smoo Cave, Durness Beach and another part of the NC500

Hey everyone,

Amazingly, it didn't rain again today!

So we used this day to make some progress. We drove about 1.5 hours until we reached Smoo Cave. This is a really cool cave with a waterfall inside. Normally, boat tours are offered through the cave, but they were canceled for today due to the weather conditions - too bad, because it looked like a really great tour on site!

Shortly afterwards, we arrived at Durness Beach. We were particularly excited about this one, as we have been looking forward to this beach since the beginning of our trip. It did look beautiful, but there were signs everywhere stating that overnight parking is not allowed. In the end, we continued without even taking a photo.... If only we had known... On the way there, we passed by so many dreamy beaches where we could have stayed overnight.

But we did find something sweet by the sea. No sandy beach, but with a great view and a change from the wind :).

Today we had a proud 16 degrees, which even made us sweat :D.

Rain is forecasted again for tomorrow.... In fact, it seems like it will rain continuously for the next week.... Yep....

Well, what can you do? We will definitely enjoy the evening and have something delicious to eat: Beef pepito's :). Yummy!
