#06 - Airlie Beach & Whitsundays (21.11. - 27.11.16)

On Monday (21.11.16), I arrived in Airlie Beach from Agnes Water by night bus at around 09:30 AM. Feeling tired from the long journey, I spent the first few days at the hostel and the saltwater lagoon. To make good use of the remaining time before my upcoming sailing trip to the Whitsunday Islands, I impulsively decided to book a flight over the Great Barrier Reef. And I must say, it was a damn good decision...
On Friday morning, about 20 people boarded our sailing ship 'Apollo'. Three beautiful days at sea, with snorkeling, diving, and a day trip to the Whitehaven Beach :)

21.11. - 24.11.16: Airlie Beach
- Swimming at the saltwater lagoon
- Flight over the Great Barrier Reef (GSL Aviation)

25.11. - 27.11.16: Whitsunday Island
- Sailing trip to the Whitsundays (Apollo Adventure Sailing)
- Snorkeling and scuba diving
- Whitehaven Beach
