Arrival and 1st day Friday, December 26, 2014 Bangkok - Chiang Rai

So my dear ones at home, here I am sitting so nicely on my terrace by the lake in northern Thailand in Chiang Rai and I can tell you it is wonderfully beautiful.

You can really enjoy it here at Saikaew Resort after this long journey via Frankfurt - Dubai - Bangkok.

The next day, I immediately walked to the bus terminal to inquire about bus tickets for the further journey, and the first beads of sweat started rolling down my forehead, even though the climate here is quite pleasant, around 30 degrees during the day and around 20 degrees at night.

Oh yes, where was I? Bus terminal! The way was almost in vain or maybe not wink if you don't necessarily need a VIP / air-conditioned bus. For which one must go to bus terminal 2 which is 4 km outside the city.

Well, the price is incredibly cheap for it, but it will be rather uncomfortable, what awaits me I will see tomorrow.

Of course, sightseeing was also on the program today. After taking a look at Wat Jet Yod, I got on the next songthaew and drove out to the famous Wat Rhon Khun for 300 baht.

Here they were, the tourists I had been looking for in vain in the city during the day. It is a beautiful but modern temple.

In the evening, I went to the night bazaar where the food was cheap and especially excellent.
