Greetings to everyone from Loch Ness. Yesterday's starting point was Fort Augustus. The actual destination was Alltsigh. Spontaneous decision due to difficult accommodation options: Great Glen Way to Invermoriston, bus to Drumnadrochit, overnight stay at Loch Ness Bay Campsite.
So let's go. 14 km to Invermoriston. After an hour, the decision was made: Easy path along the Loch Ness or the High Route (300m high above the treetops and an additional 1.5 km). The body says go down, the mind says go up the mountain. And, the mountain won. Insight: Walking difficult paths is rewarded. And how. Weather fantastic, views of Loch Ness, awesome! Saw Nessie (I don't know why the Scots are so stressed about whether Nessie exists or not 😄) The path was challenging and impressive at the same time. Arrived in Invermoriston after 4 hours and continued towards Drumnadrochit. After a peaceful overnight stay at the aforementioned campsite, we will follow the history of Scotland today before moving into our accommodation in Drumnadrochit. Stay tuned to find out what happens next.
Finally:
Jonathan Stacey:
'In the event that Nessie is captured, we expect her to be released immediately, of course. After all, she belongs to Loch Ness and to Scotland. We will do everything to make sure she is well.'
Well done
