Thanksgiving & Black Friday

Argitaratu: 04.12.2017

Unfortunately, I have to admit that I was a bit lazy in the past few days. But now, of course, we'll continue. Where were we? Oh yeah, Friendsgiving. The following day was, of course, Thanksgiving, as everyone probably already knew. Not much happened on this day. It's very special for Americans and everyone else who celebrates this day. Good food is a top priority here. That's number one on the priority scale. I don't think I need to explain Thanksgiving here, if so, Wikipedia helps. Since I don't have a resident family in the USA, this day was a bit toned down for me in terms of food. Rice. That was my Thanksgiving meal. My rich neighbors probably invited 20 people, they could have asked me. With that amount of food, there would have been enough left for me. :-) In any case, almost all stores and restaurants were closed - what a bummer.

The next day was the infamous Black Friday. Well, in my imagination, the day definitely went differently. Okay, Carina and I left at 9 am, picked up the car from the car rental and headed to Beverly Hills. Our goal today was to find bargains. In the first shopping center we visited, we were literally at the wrong address. There wasn't a soul there. Something's not right. Typical again, we were probably at the most expensive shopping center in all of L.A. No wonder.

Unfortunately, I made another video, how silly. In any case, there were only luxury brands represented. I can't afford anything even with discounts. But I'm still a girl, so this cute booth had to be photographed. Greetings to my boyfriend, I would like something like that too *grins*.

So, wrong address - let's find a new one. I got two good tips and then we decided on the nearest outlet. On the way back, we took a little cruise on Rodeo Drive. The street of luxury items also seems to fit quite well. Who cares, we drive proudly through there with our mini car, just like the luxury cars *haha*

Very nice car, it actually wanted to park with me and take me along :-)

I actually just wanted to capture the somewhat poorly visible Christmas tree. They're already trying to create a Christmas atmosphere at almost 30 degrees. But it doesn't really reach me! Well, as a European, I prefer to stand in front of the Christmas market in the pre-Christmas period with a bobble hat, gloves, and mulled wine. And I love that too.

We were on our way to the outlet, and the navigation lady started to go crazy. The route got shorter, but the duration of the drive got longer. Something must be wrong. And it was! That was the moment when my absolute nightmare began. I can't tell it in detail. In short, we spent an hour driving 500m from the highway exit. It just didn't work. I was already fed up with Black Friday. But yeah, we were curious and despite our bad mood, we plunged into the hustle and bustle. Well, at some point things started to go smoothly again. Then came the search for a parking spot. Fortunately, we were a bit earlier this time. Finally arrived at the outlet center, I thought I was going to faint. It felt like there were miles-long lines in front of the stores. Congratulations, Mrs. Wiry, the store you wanted to go to was one of the longest lines. The Nike store was crossed off the list. Let's keep going! Tommy Hilfiger had a longer line too, but I can't go home without buying anything. That was my whole loot.

Two shirts for the price of one. My very own bargain. :-)

We also stopped by UGG. Aren't they super cute for the little ones.

Not a successful day! What did we learn, on Black Friday it's better to just order online. That saves a lot of trouble and nerves.

I was completely exhausted afterwards! It was time to just eat and relax. Nothing else happened after that!
