Mid-June 2019, a beautiful summer day. Everything points to a barbecue party - the covered cake buffet in the garden, festival benches and parasols. If it weren't for a lot of clutter standing around - boxes full of socks, colorful Tupperware, touring skis and children's clothes. Together with our adventurous friends Johann and Natalie, we have decided to give away part of our household. Because we are all going on a journey where things like onion slicers and bed rugs are not needed. We sorted, checked and discussed for days. Luckily, it wasn't so difficult for all of us to put items aside, and so we stand here on this sunny Saturday not knowing what will happen. Does anyone even care about our leftovers? Will the second-hand vultures come or the people who are really happy about the used goods?
It's happening
The dad who is happy about the old pram
A young man who really wants to take pictures and takes all the analog camera parts
Men and women for whom the clothes fit like a glove
Men and women for whom the clothes don't fit like a glove and pack them with a wink
Children
The children who like to play with chains
All the children who discover treasures
Old and young people who want to furnish their homes
Two people who would rather fight over a samurai sword
Expecting parents who are happy about toys
Many strangers, many friends, and many beautiful encounters.
At the end of the day, you can grasp gratitude. The recipients are grateful for things they can use. And we are grateful for the many happy faces and for the next life our objects will have. And it's a bit like Christmas.
Maybe we should go on world trips more often.
