Abens-Radweg Weltenburg - Freising

To get from the Danube / Altmühl to the Isar, a few hills needed to be crossed. The Abens-Radweg through the Hallertau region passes endless hop fields that are about to be harvested. Unbelievable how high hops grow in one year. Seven meters from the end of March to the end of August! In this region, 34% of the global hop harvest is produced. Riding on country roads has advantages and disadvantages... good thing it was Sunday today, there are almost more racing bikes than cars on the road and we enjoyed the smooth surface and the beautiful descents.
