Day 6, target cabling

This morning, Peter and I were allowed to independently cable the bottom cameras and pull 4 cables in the target area. First, we had to shovel out the passage, thread the string, and pull the cable through. Then, lay out the cables to the destination and attach them to the video wall structure. We were very efficient and everything was perfectly finished in just under two hours. Just need to remove the sliding window covered in snow from the snow cannons and pull the cables into the hub. So, the slalom and giant slalom course is practically fully wired.

In the afternoon, we were able to get a first overview of the team event course. First, we had to get off at the scaffolding intermediate platform at the chairlift. Push, throw the shovel, and behold, it lands just before a Korean and I almost missed the jump. But I managed to make it down. The jump was just a bit higher. And so I landed on all fours.

Unfortunately, we couldn't find the end of the crossing pipes. Despite using the string and corresponding knocking signs, the search ended without success. We need a Pan-B search for tomorrow.

Finally, we helped the other guys lift some camera crates to the platforms. These platforms are quite challenging - they're small in size and a bit more unstable than the ones in Switzerland.

Finally, we also got to see the containers where all the cables converge. Currently, the cables are being tested. By the way, these evaluations also show where the cables are connected.

In the evening, we had noodle soup for dinner. I was convinced that it would be a bit spicier. This spicy soup really was spicy, causing my face to quickly turn red and my nose to run. Our installation colleagues from Zurich and Aargau found this very funny - I found it a bit less amusing.
