Day 32: Sydney - Cairns

Today we have to go to the airport again and once again we have the pleasure of spending more time on the flight than planned. A ground system crashed in Sydney in the morning, causing numerous delays and flight cancellations. First, the zipper of my suitcase gives up at check-in, then we spend four hours in the overcrowded airport, waiting in the full plane until the suitcase of a passenger who did not show up is unloaded, Michael Cola spilled on his pants in the plane and we had no IFE. What a flying experience.

We land in Cairns at a humid 32°C. Cairns is a big tourist city with plenty of opportunities for leisure activities. The public pool was also nice. Here we see for the first time a public barbecue area typical for Australia (gas grills).
