Going for a walk in Asunción

Argitaratu: 11.02.2018

We spontaneously drove to Asunción this morning to take a ride in the car, as we were supposed to pick up Pablo's daughter Emma.

Since I remembered from 2012 that a bypass road and a beach were planned behind the white house, I naturally wanted to see that.

Today it was warm, but very cloudy and it drizzled lightly from time to time.

Since there was a kind of slum in this area, the state has built a social housing complex to help these people. But the poor people do not want to live there and have now built their huts all over Asunción, wherever there was space available.

The white house is no longer white, but has been repainted in its original color. In front of the white house there were exactly TWO police officers :-D

The power supply of the white house is working too :-D

Considering that the house has just been renovated, it still looks pretty shabby.

Then we continued to pick up Emma. On the way, I was able to take some photos that should give an impression of this beautiful capital. Especially noteworthy here are the many power cables.

When we got home, I gave Emma her gift, of course. She liked it very much and didn't want to let it go.

Afterwards, we set off for our daily walk to the hospital. The wounds have to be cleaned and examined by a doctor every day to check if they are infected.

Unfortunately, it was found that pus had formed. The wounds were therefore reopened and cleaned, and the antibiotics were changed.

What also needs to be mentioned. After 10 days of stay, I finally managed to take a picture of a hummingbird today. These birds are so damn fast that it's almost impossible to photograph them.

I always imagined hummingbirds a bit larger...
