Ballermann

Palma without Ballermann, we then made our way there.

I still had memories of Ballermann, it must have been about 20-25 years ago, back then cars were still struggling between the beach and hotels/bars along the party mile.

That has changed significantly. On the wide Carretera de l'Arenal, at Platja de Palma, the youth from all over Europe meets, including those who never grow older. The street is not open to public traffic, so the last one can safely bring his 20 liters of beer home. On the day of our visit, we saw many groups, mostly wearing uniform jerseys as their distinguishing feature. I assume they are football teams competing in beach football along the beach.

Somehow, the gastronomy must fill in the gaps between seasons. We already experienced it up close on the flight from Düsseldorf to Palma, a quarter of the plane was occupied by these tourists.

On the way back home, we finally were able to take a short break, the weather god had mercy on me and sent a light rain shower our way.
