At the beginning, I felt really out of place. I didn't know the language, although I understood it, I couldn't really speak it. Only the ones in school and Wilson, whom I got to know through friends from Switzerland, could speak English.
But throughout the week, I got to know more and more people. Now, in school, there were:
A 37-year-old German woman who quit her job and is now traveling around South America until December. She is super nice and really cool.
My classmate who is from America, but only went to school until Friday and then traveled to Colombia for 2 weeks before going back home.
Another student who will stay for another two weeks is from Portland.
A young woman from Denmark who is also traveling around South America until the end of the year.
Two German men, one of them will stay in Cartagena for 9 more weeks and the other until next Tuesday.
My Spanish is already pretty good now, I can have conversations. It's crazy how fast my brain switches, sometimes I have trouble finding the German words, because I speak mostly Spanish and English all day long.
