Day 7 - Göhren

06.30 am - dressed in sportswear, we set off towards Nordperd, a forest path that led through the tip of the island. On the way, we didn't encounter a single soul and enjoyed the peace of the early morning hour. The little forest path wound its way through the undergrowth, and we could continuously look down at the cliffs, which carried the forest, and onto the sea. Afterwards, we raided the breakfast buffet. We hoped to get Wi-Fi in the , but were disappointed because it was Sunday. We eventually got a password for one euro. There we sat, on the footpath in front of the tourist house, with the laptop on our knees, being scrutinized by the critically passing people. Then our paths separated, as Jessica had to wash her clothes urgently and I wanted to go bernstein hunting. Following the sign , I went towards the beach. When the directions suddenly ended, I thought that maybe I had already reached my destination. As the amber could most likely be found in the surf, I walked straight towards the water without looking left or right. When the first waves lapped around my feet, I realized that there were naked people all around me - I had walked right into the nudist part of the beach. Oops. Feeling completely out of place, I did a 180-degree turn and went back. After following the normal beach for a few minutes, it got too crowded for me, and I turned back. No amber for me. Meanwhile, our room had temporarily been transformed into a laundry room. Clotheslines dangled everywhere. After a few minutes, freshly washed clothes were hanging on them. Satisfied with the completion of this task, we went to the South beach, which was less frequented due to the fact that it was a natural beach.
