Monument Valley

On Wednesday, we visited the amazing Monument Valley.

The weather was good, because despite the cloudy sky, the temperatures were a pleasant 20 degrees Celsius.

The large rocks rise majestically from the flat and wide land. We were in the Wild West!

Many cowboy and western movies were filmed in this valley. One of them is the movie Stagecoach with the lead actor John Wayne.

In some of the monuments, you could even see figures, such as an elephant, the right and left hand, and three nuns. Can you recognize them?!

As luck would have it, we met two Swiss people in the valley. Their Toyota had a license plate from Bern and many travel destinations, which the couple had been visiting with their converted car since 2010.

After the amazing Monument Valley, we went to Page, where we will visit Antelope Canyon. :-)
