Honolulu, Oahu (Hawaii) Part 1

On Wednesday 24.05. we flew from San Diego to Honolulu, Hawaii. After 6 hours of flight time, we landed on the paradise island of Oahu.

At the airport, we picked up our booked Hyundai and made our way to our hotel Queen Kapiolani at Waikiki Beach.

We decided to enjoy and relax the first week in Hawaii, so we didn't do much sightseeing yet.

We visited the amazing Dole Plantation, which is known for its delicious pineapples and bananas. The tasty Dole fruits can also be found in Swiss supermarkets.

Mostly, we sunbathed on the beautiful beaches of Honolulu, and on my birthday, we spent the day at the beautiful and almost deserted Waimanalo Beach.

On Monday 29.05. we dared to go high up in the sky and actually went skydiving! Wow, that was an amazing experience! From 4,000m above sea level, we jumped out of the airplane and enjoyed the breathtaking scenery of Hawaii.

Now we're heading to Hilo, Big Island and looking forward to another adventure. We will spend the last week of our Hawaii trip in Honolulu again.
