...and even though it doesn't look like it, Nora was very happy not to have to walk anymore :) However, she hates being photographed by strangers, so she couldn't be convinced to smile on the bicycle taxi either. What can you do. The little mouse just has her own mind :)

Bicycle taxis are a successful tourist attraction in Georgetown, and to my surprise, they are also very cheap. The man drove us around in the heat of noon for a whole hour and asked for about 3€ in return. He took us through the streets and we were able to relax and get an overview of everything.

By the way, the day started quite loudly...shortly after 6, the morning prayer of the adjacent mosque made us sit up in bed! Although I had read about it in the hotel reviews, I thought it couldn't be that bad. Unfortunately, I was wrong. And those who know me know that I'm not particularly sensitive to noise when I sleep. But this morning would probably have woken me up even from anesthesia! Luckily, we were able to fall asleep again. Around noon (our usual breakfast time), we walked to a small café that had received very good reviews on TripAdvisor. And they didn't promise too much. Super cute little shop and the friendliest service I've experienced here! In the photo you can see my breakfast, a pancake with Nutella, bananas, roasted cashew nuts, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was fantastic!! And so nicely decorated!

Afterwards, we dared to take the bus. As organized as Singapore was, the Malaysian public transport network is chaotic. If there is a system, please explain it to me. Otherwise, there are simply many bus stops, but you won't find a timetable. When a bus approaches, you just wave it down (in our case, the driver had to brake sharply because nobody would probably get on at that spot otherwise). In the bus, you tell the driver where you want to go, and then he says whether he's going there or not. We were lucky, we hit the jackpot with the second bus :) By the way, there is no change, just a kind of piggy bank where you throw your money in.

But we arrived and then walked just a few meters to the 3D museum. We have already visited something similar on Langkawi, but since Nora had so much fun there and the premises offer a cool change from the hot outside world, we went here again. It was smaller than the one on Langkawi, but still nice. During the subsequent walk through the city, we even discovered a great playground, wonderfully shady in a beautiful park, much to Nora's delight.

Today I also organized our onward journey, on Tuesday we will take the train to Ipoh and from there to the Cameron Highlands. I don't know exactly how that will work yet, but so far everything has worked out, so it will probably work out too :)
