Our third day in Davos was supposed to be a bit more relaxed. The goal was to sleep in, go on a short tour, and enjoy some delicious food. Stefanie thoroughly enjoyed staying in bed, while Mini took the opportunity to satisfy their longing for writing sessions in the hut log and started the blog.
After a delightful breakfast of fried eggs, slightly burned at the bottom but still extremely tasty, obligatory croissants, and homemade jam from the Baumühl, we saddled up the bikes and rode directly from the campsite to the Rinerhorn cable car.
In total, we comfortably climbed 750 meters in elevation on forest roads and arrived at the same starting point as the day before. This time, we found the trail that we had actually planned to ride the day before. Besides a large group of children cleaning the shingles of a shelter as part of a bet, we found a wide variety of cereal bars in Stefanie's bag. Mini was very happy about the selection.
After a short break, we started the downhill trail and enjoyed an amazing descent. Due to the slightly lower elevation gain, our fingers hurt less after this awesome trail compared to yesterday. Suddenly, Stefanie let out a scream about two-thirds of the way down the trail. She had found wild strawberries! With truly sweet tongues, we flew down the rest of the trail, filled our bottles with spring water from the Baumbart, and made our way back to the campsite.
As it was quite hot, we decided to cool off in the always rushing stream right in front of our apartment. Mini was done for the day, Stefanie prepared a delicious Greek salad, and we finished planning for the next day.
