Toledo & my birthday

Yay, today is my birthday! I am picking up my friend Matthias from the airport and then we will have a nice (hopefully) sunny day in Madrid. We want to visit some tourist attractions that this city definitely has to offer. In the evening, we will have a nice Mexican dinner (which, by the way, is my absolute favorite food!).

Otherwise, the past few days have been as eventful as the first ones. Lots of activities and apartment hunting, little boredom. For example, yesterday we went to Toledo with the Erasmus organization ESN, a city that is over two thousand years old. Very beautiful and highly recommended for a day trip (or even longer)! The entire cityscape is situated on hilly terrain and the beautiful old houses fit perfectly with it!

Currently, I have a roof over my head with my Airbnb room (which gives me a bit more peace of mind than couchsurfing), but I still find it difficult to find enough time for lectures, organizational matters, and leisure activities. But I think that will change in the next few weeks.

Now I will enjoy 'mi cumpleaños en Madrid'!

P.S.: My dear friends in Germany also thought of me and brought a little birthday surprise through Matthias, which I was very happy about!
