In the morning, we got up early and went to the reindeer farm, which is run by two Sami people. First, we learned how to make a fire in the wilderness with a piece of wood, a knife, and a magnesium stick. Then, we fed the reindeer. I was glad to learn that most of the reindeer only stay with their herders in the winter and are free to roam the rest of the year. We learned a lot about reindeer and the Sami culture, the indigenous people of Lapland. After lunch, I went sledding with some of the girls from our cabin. I always forget that Finland doesn't have real mountains, so the longest sled run in Finland was longer than I expected, hahaha, but the sleds are made of plastic and were very fast ;) After the sledding, we went to the viewpoint and had warm hot chocolate and famous cinnamon doughnuts. The sunset descent was lots of fun. When we returned, I went to the sauna and then we were invited to another cabin where I met some really cool people.
