Irish Experience

Argitaratu: 16.03.2019

Shortly after Mom and Dad were here, I decided to travel to Ireland. From the start, I had planned to go there because the landscape is breathtaking. Some of my friends asked if I would like to join them, and I definitely couldn't say no.

To save as much money as possible, we flew from Bonn to Manchester at 6:45 am and then to Shannon. From there, we drove to Galway with a rental car, where our hostels were located. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a spot in the same hostel where the others were sleeping on the first night, so I had to sleep alone in a mixed 9-person room, which was twice as expensive as the others. It turned out that of the 9 people, 7 were guys, but luckily I didn't realize that until the next morning because I went to bed early.

On the first day, we went straight to the "Cliffs of Moher". The quality of the roads and the road layout immediately threw the first person off track, resulting in him getting sick in the car. This naturally lengthened the whole trip.

However, upon arrival at our destination, all of that was forgotten because the impression of the cliffs is indescribable.

We were extremely lucky that it didn't rain, otherwise the 3-hour hike would have been unbearable.

On the second day, we went to another national park, which was also very beautiful in terms of landscape.

Even though it doesn't look like it, it was hailing just 2 minutes before this photo was taken. Apparently, that's typical spring weather when it starts hailing from all directions every 15 minutes.

The next day, we drove to Dublin. Mainly because the guys wanted to try the original Guinness. Fortunately, I was able to prevent them from taking a tour of the brewery, because as a well-known alcohol lover and beer connoisseur, it would have been definitely exciting for me.

Dublin is not very big and you can reach everything on foot. I liked the city very much because it's not overcrowded.

In 3 weeks, it's already Easter holidays, which means for me: London, Cologne, Madrid, and Rennes.

Stay Tuned!
