Start of the second school week

Argitaratu: 24.04.2017

Yesterday I had a low point in the evening. That's just the usual when you don't feel good in a foreign place. What am I doing here? Why at all? Damn, it's much harder than I thought! etc. etc.

This morning the world looked different again. A good night's sleep makes a huge difference. And the start of the new school week went well. I felt more confident in the welcome session. Evelin is still taking care of my progress in one-on-one lessons. But I'm not the only one anymore. There's a new student, una Suiza, who can speak much better Spanish than me, just like everyone else. She also has one-on-one lessons because there are even fewer students here this week.

So I have no choice but to study hard. And that's fine, I enjoy it. Firstly, it distracts me, secondly, it's the only way I can make progress, and thirdly, what else should I do in this crappy weather? It was raining again. In the afternoon it even stormed and hailed. It's the fourth or fifth time that I've seen and heard a really intense thunderstorm since I've been here. Luckily, I didn't experience it because I didn't go out. Just quickly to the 'tienda' (neighborhood shop) around the corner to grab some chips and a bottle of cola. Then I sat down at the dining table and neatly transferred all the things I hadn't written in my study book from the worksheets and of course, I repeated them. Good little boy!

But... it's... well, yawn - yawn...
