Casa Santa Ana Hotel - Cartagena

Some more advertising for our hotel in Cartagena. We found it on Booking.com and so far it has been an absolute highlight.

The "Casa Santa Ana" is located in the Getsemani district just outside the city walls. As mentioned before, the neighborhood is already amazing. The hotel itself is an absolute gem! In an old colonial house with a beautiful courtyard, the accommodation offers only 4 rooms. Massages are offered on a rooftop terrace, and there is a small swimming pool on a second rooftop where you can take a refreshing dip and enjoy the view over the roofs of Cartagena until 10:00 pm. The soundtrack is provided by the lively neighborhood all around: a bit of salsa, barking dogs, playing children, loud Spanish communication - wonderful. And, since there are only 4 rooms, we practically had the pool to ourselves.

There are nice seating areas in the courtyard and a very fine breakfast in the morning. The staff is absolutely great and is complemented by the very chubby Golden Retriever, Hanna, who licked my lower leg goodbye. The pictures actually say everything else. So if anyone is going to Cartagena - we highly recommend Casa Santa Ana and give it 10 out of 10 points!
