Kent Search and Rescue NSARDA Training

On Sunday it was again “TRAINING!”

I think I wasn't the only one who was really looking forward to the day! Stuart Kenny from NSARDA made it possible for us to go back into the forest with his group about two months after our first training together. It was nice to see Jon, Charlie, Edward, Sharon and Maude again, familiar faces make it easier for both parties.

I appreciate that we were able to take part here again, because it's not a given. Our dogs are verbalizers, not redirectors, which is very rare in Ireland and also in the UK. Hearing the barking in the wind and weather when the dog moves far away from his handler is extremely difficult here.

Nevertheless, Jon took up the challenge with Charlie and we had a great day! Christian took part in a little orientation while I lay in the forest as a body, or buddy. The temperatures were really warm at the beginning of October, and the sun finally said hello. Charlie said that on the one hand we had brought them the storm Agnes, but now also the good weather.

It was a great day because both the little emperor and the megalomaniacal god were allowed to show off their skills and did not disappoint. It was a really great end to our trip in the UK.
