A wonderful morning

Argitaratu: 06.01.2019

How do you feel after just 4 hours of sleep?

Interestingly, very good.... Is it because of the surroundings, my beautiful room, the warm 24 degrees in the morning? I don't know. And you know what? I actually don't care. I feel good and I am full of anticipation for the first day.

10 o'clock = breakfast room. Open on the side and the wind is pleasantly warm. There are few people here so I can secure a seat right at the front: view through the palm trees to the sea, indescribable bird sounds all around (even though I live next to the famous bird observatory in Switzerland!), people smiling everywhere, an inviting and fresh buffet. You don't need much more to be happy.

10:45 a.m. = I am sitting in the hospital waiting for my first consultation. It will take about 1.5 hours. Oops. What will be checked there!? I am sitting in treatment room 1 and waiting for my doctor to come. He doesn't come, but she comes. The head doctor of the Ayurvedic Center. This small, strong Indian woman in an orange-golden sari is now in charge of me.
First, I have to fill out a questionnaire of about 20 pages and provide information about my lifestyle and past. With the help of an assistant doctor, my documents from the specialists in Switzerland and the mentioned questionnaire, which have been translated into English, are checked. I can manage everything with my English and after the obligatory pulse diagnosis, my constitution type is determined: Kapha-Pitta. This is now supposed to guide my treatment, my food and even my drink. By the way, I am already sipping the first corresponding tea. How does it taste? No idea! Because my sense of smell and taste have once again disappeared....
I will spare you the details about the 3 different types here. But if you are interested: http://www.veda.ch/ayurvedashop/ayurveda_test.html
Maybe you will find out something interesting about yourself! Smile

12:15 p.m. = At the reception, I hand in the key for 306 as agreed and would like to get the new one for 269. But there is a problem. The room will only be ready cleaned in the evening. No, don't unpack my suitcase all day! Not again! With some persuasion, the reception can mobilize the cleaning staff and I can move into my final room after lunch. That works!
And since I'm already at the reception, I can also listen to the key facts of the resort: meal times, events, etc. The nice guest service does a great job. Even though she keeps sniffling (she has an allergic reaction). I ask her what would happen if I don't like 269 and if I could possibly keep 306 then. She quickly grabs the phone and we're off to inspect the room. Whew, not really very appealing. And this is not because the cleaning staff is working hard so that I can move into the room in a few minutes!
I express my dissatisfaction with skilled charm and after another phone call, I can keep 306 until January 20th. Then we'll see. Strike!!! Someone is taking care of me again. Thanks to the good spirits or other heavenly creatures who are so kind to me.
Back in the room, finally unpack the suitcase and bring some order into my hotel room life! Beautifully decorated (see photo), I feel even more comfortable.

2 p.m. = my first massage is scheduled. I meet my masseuse who will accompany me for 4 weeks as well. Sorry, I forgot her name again. But it will be delivered as soon as possible. Promise. She comes from Kerala and has 2 children. A big heart, always laughing and making funny faces in between (she says, like I did! ????). Smile
I'm sure we will experience many things together. Starting tomorrow, also in 'her' treatment room with A VIEW OF THE SEA. Today in the back garden. But also nice with the colorful flowers and through the open windows the bird sounds mixed with soft human voices or sounds.
1.5 hours of 'bathing' in oil and being massaged with quick, small hands.... a paradise! The freshly stirred face mask made of papaya, rose oil, honey is nice and cold and feels amazing. Have I only been here for one day?!
