Ciudad del Este

Since I had plenty of time, I spontaneously decided to make a little detour to Paraguay. First stop: Ciudad del Este. A city just behind the border with Argentina and Brazil. The ride on the regular bus was quite special, especially when all foreigners were asked to get off the bus shortly after the border and go back to the border with all their luggage. But I managed that with my fellow traveler. We had a great hostel with a pool and a beautiful garden.

Unfortunately, the city itself was quite disappointing. Famous among the neighboring countries for shopping, it was not very spectacular for us. We didn't buy anything, but we were quite shocked by all the rubbish and garbage on the streets.

Nevertheless, we made the best of it and had a good time.
