Day 15: First-class to Prague

Argitaratu: 16.09.2017

Refreshed and without any stress, we took a train at 10:26 from Krakow to Prague on this Saturday. We bought breakfast and snacks at a large shopping center right by the train station, and had breakfast on the platform. When our train arrived at the station and we were looking for wagon 352, as indicated on our reservation, we were surprised to find that it was one of the first-class wagons. However, the reservation ticket clearly stated that it was for second-class seats. When we asked the conductor, he told us to board the first-class section and choose any seat. We gladly accepted this upgrade and made ourselves comfortable in the slightly more spacious first-class seats. Unfortunately, there was no champagne, TV, or high-speed internet, but we really liked the comfortable leather seats and the extra space. And so, we embarked on our first train journey in first class.

After 7 hours and 20 minutes, a snack, short naps, and many, many pages read, we arrived in Prague in the late afternoon and immediately headed to our accommodation. Thanks to the GPS on our phone, finding it was a piece of cake. Right after checking in, we set off without a specific destination in mind to find a pizzeria. It didn't take long for us to spot one, and we took a seat in the still empty dining area. Our delicious pizzas were served not long after we placed our order. Just half an hour later, all the tables were occupied and the waiters and kitchen staff were busy.

With our bellies full and in high spirits, we made our way back to our accommodation through the illuminated city center, and sleep came quickly.
