Day 7 - it's not going so well

Nothing came out of the night shift - the guys had to catch up on sleep and unfortunately the first runs went completely wrong. The Zeltweg team just can't get the ground swell problem under control. In one run, they can avoid it and immediately score a significant number of points.

The Trieben team has trouble with the tricky course over and over again and they keep losing the line. However, they manage to rescue some victims. In general, it is already noticeable that the level of this competition is much higher than at the national competitions in Austria and Slovenia. It is also fascinating for us how exciting each individual course can be. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, we find ourselves only in the last quarter.

For the team competition on Sunday, the Zeltweg team has been drawn against the Mexicans and the Trieben team has been drawn against the Hungarians. However, it is impractical that the Hungarians do not speak English or German. Let's see what tomorrow's task will be.

We have divided ourselves for the supervision. Colleague Köberl takes the morning and I take the afternoon. In the morning, I want to visit Nagoya Castle. On the way there, I pass by the Noh Theater and can also see the stage there.

Only men perform in this theater, which lasts for hours.

Nagoya Castle originally dates back to the 16th century, but was destroyed in World War II and then rebuilt. It towers over Nagoya with a total of 8 floors.

During the subsequent walk through the city, I see several roof shrines. Similar to our "Hergottswinkel", the Japanese also have small shrines - but outside - where the spirits are worshiped.

For lunch, we decide to try noodle soup, which apparently is also eaten with chopsticks in Japan. Colleague Köberl at least got a wooden scoop.

The heat has now risen to an unbearable 35° and the air conditioning in the halls only helps to a limited extent, so we decide not to participate in the evening event.

The boys want to continue working on the robots and we take a closer look at the area around the hotel.

In the immediate vicinity, there are many small bars and shops run by Filipinos. However, once you cross the main street, you come to business streets with incredible magnificent buildings.

Somehow, it reminds me of the inner and outer belt in Vienna. Then we also see a "Meet & Greet" of a boy band

- and the accompanying girls line.

Tomorrow are the last two rounds and then the preparation for the Super Team competition begins. I wonder what will come out of it.
