Today we went to Hohenbogen in Neukirchen b. Hl. Blut. There we took the cable car, a chairlift from the valley station to the mountain station. Martin went first and I followed with both children because Jette really wanted to ride with Mama. At the top, we hiked to the former NATO towers because we wanted to go up one of them to enjoy the view. We entered through a turnstile after buying a ticket. Children went through a child slip on the side and the backpack went through a hole on the side. Very weird. Henriette made a fuss and absolutely didn't want to go through the child slip. Only when I threw a bag of gummy bears through, she got motivated and crawled through ;-) We climbed 262 steps on the outside of the tower to the platform. It was very windy and cold, and Henriette didn't like it at all and wanted to go down again. But we were up there for a short time and enjoyed the great view. When we went down again with the cable car, this time Jette and Martin, I called out that I wanted to go sledding. And to my surprise, Henriette wanted to go too. So we got another ticket for the summer toboggan run and took the cable car back up to the middle station, from where I sled down with Henriette...pretty fast, but we and especially Jette had fun ;-) Afterwards, we drove to Furth im Wald and visited the wildlife park at the Steinbruchsee. We bought some feed and Henriette had a great time feeding the deer. Some of them were walking around freely and came when they saw the food. Some of them even let her pet them, only a few were a bit shy. Highlight for me: petting a hairy antler of a deer (red deer) - feels great :-P
