Today's Route:

Briançon (1290 m) - Chalets des Ayes (1724 m) - Col des Ayes (2477 m) - La Chalp (1684 m) - Lac de Roue (1854 m)

Today we are on the road longer than expected, but an overnight stay at Lac de Roue is tempting us, and so we arrive there at 6:30 pm with several stops along the way, enjoying the beautiful evening atmosphere.

The ascent to the pass is done in cool weather and cloudy skies, and the higher we go, the stronger the wind gets. The descent is then done in more pleasant weather. In Brunissard, we meet again with the Swiss couple who stayed there. We have a drink together before we continue to La Chalp and then up to Lac de Roue.

While setting up the tent, we realize that we left a part of it in the hotel room. However, we manage to set up the tent, but it is annoying and we may have problems in heavy rain. Tomorrow we will see if something can be done with the hotel or if we can find an intermediate solution.
