It's week and our dad goes diligently to the internship in the engineering office and we explore Vancouver, first of all the Waterfront with the Tourist Office for more information, the seaplanes and cruise ships. The next day the Granville Island.
Granville Island is like a small village surrounded by the skyline with small art galleries, restaurants and a fresh market with lots of delicious fruits, vegetables and other delicacies such as maple syrup, cookies and fresh fish. Around the market building there are picnic benches where you can eat right away or listen to music. The view of the skyline is interesting and the children won't get bored watching the small and big boats or ferries.
For children you should bring swimwear, because here is a beautiful water playground with a slide, fountain, showers or fire hoses. Lots of fun and we adults find it very refreshing too. For not so warm days there are warm showers or a free sauna afterwards.
