... Antonia hasn't taken yet - maybe she will put one foot in front of the other for the first time in the Caucasus, the Himalayas, or maybe even on the Thai beach.
On our journey, higher, faster, further is not the goal. Rather, it is about exploring exciting places on our planet and experiencing profound encounters with the people there as a young family. This takes time. Time for Antonia to take her first steps as well.
We will start our journey in Georgia and Armenia. There, we want to get to know the country and its people, in addition to hiking in the Greater Caucasus. Next, we will go to Nepal, where we will strap our bags and belongings to a mule and explore the country by foot. After we've walked our feet sore, we want to enjoy tropical beaches and rainforests in Thailand and Cambodia. Then, we will go to New Zealand. There, we are especially looking forward to spending time with old friends from Swenja's exchange time. From there, we will head back to Southeast Asia. Probably to northern Thailand and Laos. Maybe we will return home after almost 11 months via Sri Lanka. That's the plan - let's see how it goes.
We are, of course, flexible and will adjust our route according to our experiences or spontaneous whims. Antonia will certainly contribute her own travel wishes as well.
Our goal is to experience these fascinating areas together. To learn about new facets of long-distance hiking and traveling as a young family. We see the everyday necessities - such as packing more carefully or washing diapers - that slow down our progress as enriching experiences.
We look forward to sharing our experiences and adventures with you through our reports and photos, and we are excited to read your comments and answer your questions!
