18.12.2021 Arrival in Belém

Arriving in São Paulo, we had to wait nearly six hours for the next flight. This time it was with LATAM Airlines to Belém. But while I was waiting for the flight, the gate changed twice and the departure time changed three times. That also meant that the flight was one hour later.

Instead of 1 p.m., the flight only took off at 2 p.m., and I arrived in Belém around 6 p.m.

Now came the big shock: my big suitcase got stuck in São Paulo! At the counter in Belém, they told me that the suitcase had to be picked up again when entering the country, that is, São Paulo, and then go through customs again. However, Air France in Munich told me at the beginning of my trip that the suitcase would be transported directly to Belém. On my first trip to Brazil, my suitcase was also transported directly to Belém... !?!

Who is right now?

So I immediately filed a missing report for the suitcase, as it contained all my clothes and other important things.

The LATAM employee took down the facts and immediately passed the description of the suitcase to São Paulo Airport. We'll see what happens next...

We ended the evening with dinner at a shopping center in Belém.
