Cooling down and picnic in Rüdlingen, 6.8.2018

Back from our Canada vacation, we enjoyed the hot temperatures of Switzerland at 30°C. On Monday evening, we packed our swimsuits and picnic and drove to Rüdlingen on the Rhine with the girls. There weren't many people anymore and we were able to park our van perfectly with a view of the water. 😝👍

Berni and I first walked a good distance up the river and then let ourselves drift down the Rhine. It was wonderful to lie in the water and cool off!

The dark thunderclouds were now right above us and unleashed themselves violently ⛈. The camping chairs that had been provided were quickly thrown into the car and we fled to the dry. We then enjoyed the picnic with the four of us in the van, which was quite cozy. We even had more space to sit at the table than in our big RV in Canada... 😊

After about 20 minutes, the thunderstorm was already over and we had a great evening atmosphere! 🌅

We then drove back to Büli shortly before 9 pm via Eglisau.

A nice evening drive with wetness from below and above and a cozy picnic!
