It's serious - the bus brings me next to a talkative Portuguese woman to Annecy. It's annoying that I don't speak Portuguese, but my French isn't going well either. It's just good that my Couchsurfer host speaks English. Emmanuel lives downtown, very central, he's a web designer, especially the designer comes through in the apartment.
On the first evening, we go to an art exhibition where I catch the next Spanish woman, it's just going better. The atmosphere is summery and relaxed: trendy people, long armpit hair, no make-up but lots of piercings.
By the way, Annecy is super beautiful, it has a medieval center, crystal clear lake and canals, surrounded by mountains, lots of tourists, which I naively didn't expect, I've never heard of it before. :D
Emmanuel has Fridays off, if you're employed in Geneva (Switzerland), you can treat yourself to that. We go for a bike ride around Lake Annecy and then have evening program with friends. I've already heard all the gossip and wild relationship constellations. I also think they are French. Another stereotype is confirmed: They eat so slowly and little, I'm slowly wondering who here is okay. ;)
