Goa is an enchanting place that seems to have stood still in time. Somewhere in the 70s. Even most of the newcomers there seem to be relics from that time.
It's a mix of old hippies, locals, British retirees who spend winter in Goa, and Russian beach vacationers.
Just for that reason alone, you can easily spend a day sitting in the beach bar and watching people. Surprisingly, as a Kiwi, you're not the most exotic creature there.
The beach huts of the 'Blue Corner' were perfect for capturing the flair, and according to people, the food at the attached restaurant was a delight!
Once you leave the beach, you quickly find yourself back in the 'India' that we know from our journey so far, with all the benefits of street food.
What stands out is the significantly lower alcohol tax in Goa, alcohol is generally treated more loosely here.
Three days of relaxation pass by in a flash here, and the batteries are fully recharged for the next stop.
But from a Kiwi's perspective, the best part about Goa is definitely the airport. Here you can find Skittles in the most unusual flavors and even in extra large!
