12.10.2019 Mystery Lake, 20 km hike

Weather looks good, today we planned to hike to the Mystery Lake. One way is 10 km so round trip is 20 km.

What is the Mystery Lake? No idea, at this point we had never heard of it.

Initially we were a bit concerned about the weather as it was drizzling a bit and we were afraid of having to hike 10 km back 'home' in the rain.

Well, we went ahead anyway because the sun was shining.

The hiking trail was really beautiful! It was a steady uphill climb to the lake and it took us about 3.5 hours to get there. So what is the Mystery Lake? It is a lake in the middle of the mountains, formed by rain and melting snow after winter. We even found a little patch of snow where we naturally had to hike to.

We would definitely recommend the hike to everyone! It took us 2.5 hours to get back and we stayed at Lake Camp again. There was also a campfire that evening.
