Siena

Today we don't want to rush, as agreed.... we have a breakfast appointment at 9 o'clock, but the campsite neighbors are ruining our plan. Besides Britta and Matthias, packing has been going on since 6:30 and all sorts of doors are slamming. Next to us (once again) are 3 Dutch people having breakfast and talking non-stop since 7:30.

We set off at 11 o'clock, each with a newly downloaded camper navigation app on our phones, and the result is that we still get lost with both cars, our ways separate (have to) and we have to meet again at the bottom of the valley after adventurous uphill and downhill drives. In fact, we are on the road for over an hour, just a few kilometers from Fiesole, to continue our journey to Siena.

However, we were able to admire the beautiful Tuscany in all its splendor and completely unexpectedly.

Our place for tonight: Camping Colleverde, about 2.5 km from Siena. The summer heat gives us 33°C today, but luckily there is a gentle breeze.

Siena is definitely worth a visit! It was all worth it to be here in Siena today and admire this little town. Every corner, every alley, every square here is beautiful.

Siena has far surpassed Florence.
