Monaco & Menton

Argitaratu: 12.09.2021

Our first stop today was Monaco. We drove through Monte Carlo by car, passing luxury shops until we reached the harbor. There were yachts that were four stories high and simply looked gigantic.

As soon as we entered Monaco, there were signs everywhere indicating that masks were mandatory in public. It was a nightmare in the heat. I'll be honest, I had it hanging halfway, otherwise I would have passed out. We also had to climb several stairs to get to the Palace.

The Palace looked great. The guards were wearing their bright white uniforms and a nice FFP2 mask :-(! We were able to admire the changing of the guard, in 30 degree heat in the shade. What a spectacle.

We had a very delicious lunch in Monaco. After that, we strolled around a bit. Oh, Monaco is a mecca for car enthusiasts. My goodness, the luxury cars that were driving around here, it was crazy.

Then we continued to Menton. Here we explored the beautiful old town with its sights. We were both very impressed with this. The great old and quaint streets with the lovely plants in front of the houses. Simply adorable. We strolled back along the promenade, which was already too touristy for us.

Tomorrow we will leave this region again and return to Arles in Provence. I will immediately look for a 'hopefully' nice accommodation for us :-). So, my dears, I wish you a wonderful Sunday evening and now I'm handing over the keyboard to Littelfoot. She also wanted to blog today!

A very warm hello to those who know me. I am touring through France with my two mommies and enjoying every minute with them. I am so grateful that I get to sleep in their bed every night :-)!

Today, during my first walk in the old village, I didn't do my business. Helloooooooooo people, we're going to Monaco. So if the Queen can do it, then I can do it there in a sophisticated manner :-)!

Now a very 'important message for my two mommies'. Please don't always use me as a model. Today, in the crazy heat, I was supposed to sit in front of the Palace to be photographed. 'No way, ladies', I'm not interested in that. I simply got up and walked away! In those moments, I long for Monika and Gerhard, they wouldn't do that to me. I would just have to sit in front of the kitchen counter and get delicious turkey sausage :-)! Then a cuddling session on the couch!

Then I want to mention that apparently all French people love me. Somehow, everyone is always sticking their fingers in my face and an old woman even kissed me today. I licked her face in return and she even liked it!!! She wanted to take me with her. But my mommies are watching out for me and doing a good job! So, in that sense, I also greet everyone who knows me and I'm looking forward to the journey to Arles!
